FOR BUSINESSES

Built for the assistants your customers use.

People are starting to ask an assistant what to do, where to eat and what to gift. LivingSocial gives those assistants clean facts about eligible Groupon offers and a link to buy on Groupon's checkout. Your customer still redeems with you. There's nothing for you to build.

  • More than 50,000 live Groupon offers · as of 7 Oct 2026
  • Nothing to build
  • Groupon checkout and support

WHY NOW

Your customers ask AI for ideas. They still pay where they trust.

45%

of US consumers used AI tools for local recommendations, up from 6% in the 2025 survey.

BrightLocal, Local Consumer Review Survey 2026, 11 Feb 2026 (1,002 US adults)
23%

of US consumers trust generative AI to handle payment transactions on their behalf.

Visa, Trust Index for Agentic Commerce, 9 Sep 2026 (The Harris Poll, US adults, 26–28 May 2026)

LivingSocial is built for both halves. An agent can find and recommend eligible Groupon offers. Your customer pays on Groupon's checkout, not inside the chat.

What changes for you, and what doesn't

New, for agents

  • Agents can find, read and compare eligible Groupon offers, around the clock.
  • An eligible offer's facts reach the agent as labelled fields: options and prices, location, fine print and business name.
  • The person can go from a conversation to Groupon's checkout in one link.
  • Nothing for you to install: no feed, no integration.

Same for your customers

  • They buy on Groupon's checkout.
  • They redeem with you, as Groupon customers do today.
  • Groupon handles customer support, under Groupon's refund policy.

Questions about which offers are included, your agreement or fees? Your Groupon account manager, or talk to us. We'll confirm in writing.

How a sale happens

  1. 01

    A customer asks.

“Something fun for two in Austin, under $100.”

  2. 02

    The agent reads your offer.

Title, options and prices, location, fine print, business name. It compares, and missing fields are marked unknown.

  3. 03

    The customer says yes.

The agent opens a cart, and the customer reviews the final total and pays on Groupon's checkout.

  4. 04

    They redeem with you.

Just as Groupon customers do today. They arrange the date with you.

A QUESTION WE HEAR

“Agents can just use my website.”

Often they can, so keep it. LivingSocial is a second route, not a replacement for your site.

Websites are built for people. Prices may load through scripts, terms can be spread over several pages, and some sites block AI crawlers and other automated visitors. An agent working through that is slower, and when it can't confirm a fact it has to guess or say it isn't sure. On LivingSocial, the facts come in labelled fields and the purchase hands over cleanly to Groupon's checkout.

“You have your own website, and you still list on Groupon, because Groupon reaches people who might not find your site. LivingSocial is built to do the same for people who ask an assistant.”

What an agent reads about your offer

The same offer, two ways. People see a card. Agents read labelled fields, and any field we don't have is marked unknown rather than filled in.

WHAT YOU CAN DO THIS WEEK

Make your offer easy for an agent to choose

None of this is required. An agent recommends with confidence when it can read an offer correctly. To change a Groupon deal, talk to your account manager.

  1. Name it plainly. What it is, how long, for how many.✗ “Pasta Night Experience”✓ “2-hour pasta-making class with dinner, for 2”
  2. Spell out what's included, and what isn't. Drinks, take-home items, fees paid on site, age limits.
  3. Say how to redeem. A purchase doesn't reserve a date or time, so say how to schedule: by phone, online or walk-in.
  4. Keep every location right. The correct address for each location you serve.
  5. Pause what you can't serve. Ask your account manager to pause or end it.
  6. Start with your top three. Check your three best-selling offers before the rest.

Each assistant decides what it shows. Nothing here guarantees placement.

Questions businesses ask us

What price do agents see?

The Groupon deal's price, and any Groupon promotion shown with it. LivingSocial draws from eligible Groupon US deals; it doesn't list your website prices. Your customer pays the total shown on Groupon's checkout.

Can an agent buy without my customer?

LivingSocial doesn't take payment from agents. The buy link opens a cart, and the purchase is completed on Groupon's checkout, which shows the total before payment.

Who handles customer support and refunds?

Groupon, under Groupon's refund policy. Your customer redeems with you, as today.

Will customers expect a set date or time?

A purchase doesn't reserve a date or time, so customers arrange that with you, as they do with Groupon today. Offers that need a time slot at purchase: bookable through agents soon.

Who wrote what agents read about my offer?

Most descriptions are written by AI from the Groupon deal, and labelled as AI-written. Fine print and the business name come from the deal. To change your deal, talk to your account manager.

Will my offer show up in every assistant?

Each AI platform decides what it shows, so nobody can guarantee placement. We give agents clear facts, mark what we don't know, and never tell them to prefer us.

Will I know when a sale came from an agent?

Not yet. Reporting on orders that come through agents is planned.

Do I have to offer a discount?

At launch, LivingSocial draws from eligible Groupon deals, at their Groupon price. A planned direct program would let you list at your regular prices, with promotions optional.

What about my agreement, fees, or which offers are included?

Talk to your Groupon account manager or to us. We'll confirm in writing.
